I just read Arthur & George and I think Mr Barnes has done a great job on depicting Britian´s early last century society through the main characters. On top of that, the prose is clear and clean, which is something that only relevant writers can do when approaching deep and complex subjects. Highly recommended for both fans and newcomers to Mr Barnes´work.
I didn't have the opportunity to be with Mr Barnes here in Chile and i hope to get a second chance soon.
I had the pleasure to read Flaubert's Parrot two years ago. It was a real treat because i could feel the sensitivity and Mr Barnes admiration for Gustave and his story and relations when he wrote his main master pieces.
